As a two-part Summer update, Google has released another Core Update this month. The July 2021 Core Update was released on July 1st and ended July 12th, but companies can expect changes to continue.

Google Core updates are different than other updates on the search engine. With the first round of the Google Page Experience / Core Web Vital update already launched, and in June with four massive updates on their search engine, it is bound that websites will notice a decrease or increase in rankings! 

Google releases updates each day, each week, month and it is a never-ending process to keep up with all of the changes.

July 2021 Core Update 

The July 2021 Core Update is classified as a “broad” update in the SEO industry. This means that the update doesn’t significantly target one industry over another. This is how Google better assesses results between high-quality content, backlinks, and ensuring there are no black hat SEO strategies in place! 

If you have noticed a decrease in ranking, keywords, or backlinks there is no need to worry, unless you have been using spammy links and stuff keywords. These updates are in the process of learning, and our SEO consultant Dallas team notices that top-ranking keywords typically come back within a few weeks at the most. 

The changes don’t necessarily mean that companies should change their entire landing page or homepage, but if that decision is made, make sure to follow the Google Guidelines set in place. 

While our team has years of experience in the industry, even we (sadly) cannot magically fix the ranking changes that are happening! We are however excited to see how quickly our clients are rewarded for the quality SEO work we’ve been doing behind the scenes. A core update typically means a big dip, quickly followed by an even higher bounce back! 

The most important thing to remember is to follow the ranking factors that Google loves on all websites!
